- VINIC is a joint-venture company between Vietnam Maritime University and Nippon Steel Shipping Co., Ltd. (NS United Kaiun Kaisha)
- Operation startup: September 10th, 1997.

+ Vietnamese seafarer recruitment, training and supply for Nippon Steel Shipping’s fleet;
+ Radar/ARPA and GMDSS training courses organizing for Vietnamese seafarers under the authority of Vietnam maritime university.
FROM 2007 UNTIL NOW
- VINIC is a Vietnamese limited liability company. Among its members, Vietnam Maritime University contributes 70% of the company’s authorized capital.
- Business fields:
+ Acting as a manning agent for overseas employers to recruit Vietnamese seafarers.
+ Dispatching Vietnamese seafarers to work onboard overseas under contracts as authorized in the service licence issued by the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs.
