On Jul 3rd, 2025, 21 officers and crew members manned by VINIC successfully took delivery of the newly built vessel “M/V METTLE STAR” owned by NISSEN KAIUN, at the Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) shipyard in Philippines.
M/V METTLE STAR is a Panama-flagged bulk carrier which was designed with the deadweight 82,438 DWT, engine power 9,000 kW, LOA 228.99m, breadth 32.26m, summer draft 14.579m, completed at the Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) shipyard in Philippines. The vessel was installed with the main engine ME-Mitsui-Man B&W 6S60ME-C10.5-EGRBP, exhaust gas treatment system Sox EGCS, NOx EGR, SCR with IMO type III. The vessel has been certified by Class NK Japan with the worldwide operation area.
M/V METTLE STAR is the third newly built vessel owned by NISSEN and managed by Synergy Ocean Maritime Inc., (SOMI) to be handed over to VINIC crew members for operation in 2025. Furthermore, she is the fifteenth vessel in the fleet managed by SOMI, operated by VINIC crew members. Especially, this is also the vessel chartered by NS United Kaiun Kaisha - a traditional crew recruitment partner of VINIC.
