Recently, the Ship Owner and Ship Manager discovered that some crew members onboard a vessel manned by our crew had serious breaches of discipline by deliberately modifying the sounding pipe of FO tank for the purpose of fraud in fuel management and profiteering. The crew members responsible in this incident include Capt. Do Ky Anh, Chief Engineer Luong Manh Lan and Chief Engineer Tran Huyen Trang. These crew have been repatriated and their employment contracts have been terminated.
This incident has caused significant damage to the image and reputation of the Ship Owner, the Ship Manager, the Crew Manning Company and the community of Vietnamese seafarers working for foreign ship owners.
Company has issued a Notice to all crew members deployed through our services, requiring them to sign a formal commitment not to engage in any acts of fuel-related misconduct for personal benefit. Additionally, the Company has submitted reports to relevant authorities to ensure joint efforts in preventing fraudulent profiteering activities of crew members working on the vessels.
